Our goal is to highlight important moral lessons that promote
positive values and strengthen the self-esteem of children.
Not to mention that we just plain have fun.
This is an updated retelling of the classic folk tale about a miller's daughter and a little elf-like man who can spin straw into gold. This new work by award-winning local playwright and songwriter
Ron Lytle, weaves themes of social acceptance, love and forgiveness with raucous high comedy, clever wordplay and instantly hummable tunes.
Our rehearsal schedule generally runs from early January to the latter part of February on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. During our trouping schedule we also perform at the schools on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Our public performances will be on Saturdays.
In addition to taking our production to East Bay elementary schools from late February until
mid April we will put on public performances at the Oakland Museum of California on
Saturday, March 18 and 25, 2006.
Tickets for the public performances will go on sale the first of the year.
Please call 510-655-7285 for tickets to a museum show
and to be put on our mailing list.
We are looking for new members all year round. Please refer to our volunteer page for all the
ways you can participate in EBCT.
