Book and music by Ron Lytle / Directed by Sue Ellen Nelsen
Music Direction by Nora Grafton / Set Design by Kim Tolman
Costumes by Elizabeth Chapman / Sound and Recording by Joe Barnett

An important goal is to highlight important moral lessons that promote
positive values and strengthen the self-esteem of children.
Not to mention that we just plain have fun.

We are very excited to be working with a local playwright, Ron Lytle, who has written a delightful
script and lively music to tell the tale of a group of hard working elves, a kindly shoemaker and his wife,
a very unusual cat, and other appealing characters to bring you and your children the
message of unselfishness, kindness and optimism.

In addition to taking our production to East Bay elementary schools from late February until
mid April we will put on public performances at the Oakland Museum of California on
Saturday, March 12 and 19, 2005.

Please call 510-655-7285 for tickets to a museum show
and to be put on our mailing list.

Below are excerpts from the many letters and drawings that we always get from the children.

I enjoyed what you people did for us. The Elves and Shoemaker was the best story and play I ever
saw in 9 years of living.

I loved the way your guys performed . . . You guys taught me something I did not know. Tell your
boss you guys were exellent.

You were so good, I was wondering if you could do that again in another school because I will really
like to share what I saw.

Will you do another play again? I feel sorry for whoever missed the play.

The shoemaker's wife was very generous and kind to others. I learned that you should always be
truthful. You should think well before you do something.
